Review: An amazing book by S.E Hinton. The story is about a 14 year old boy who is growing up in the early 60s. Ponyboy Curtis is a "Greaser", the name for the lower class people who live on the west side of town. He lost his parents and he and his 16 year old brother, Sodapop, are raised by their 21 Year old brother Darrel. Pony belongs to a small gang, which contains his brothers and very close friends. Greasers can't count on much, but they can definitely count on trouble from the Socs, the rich kids from the East side. One day, a skirmish turns into big trouble, and Pony and his friend Johnny find themselves running from the cops. This is an incredible story about family and friendship. I love this book because it portrays reality. I must warn you, if you're the type who want's everything to end "Happily ever after", you probably shouldn't read this book. I would recommend this for any person who wan'ts to read a realistic story. It is also perfect for anybody who loves a page turning drama.
